if this guy truly thinks what he’s doing is okay, he must be in a kind’a near-sociopath state of denial...this is all really weird to say the least. while I assumed that art thieft is not exactly uncommon, this takes the cake.

I've heard that his lawyers are hitting any media that runs the story a C&D (Cease and Desist) order.

yeah, it does signal a rather strange detatchment to be able to go about the sort'a prolific stealing, and right out in the open like this.
