stuff...
alrighty then...my Flicker account is activated again, so I thought I'd share some pages...one or two recaps and then the new stuff...

...

all the same, I've given this a lot of thought these last few days, and without going into a lot of philosophical acrobatics about it, I believe it’s time that I put my idle notions about finishing this book to nap...put my digital toys away too...in fact, the entire comic-book thing...just rock them to sleep I guess.
And this is certainly not some “whoa is me” thing...my only regret ( if I could call it that ) would simply be that it’s taken me so long to come around to this decision.
Not sure where this grand epiphany leaves me exactly...heh...that’s alright though...I only know that I’m ‘not’ who I’m supposed to be.
...
Anyhoo...here’s this thing...perhaps a final digital experiment...fitting that it’s only a shadow...( who knows )

That would be a damn shame. Your pages always blow me away.

I'd love to know what your thinking behind retiring this stuff is, because it's amazing work.

I’ve got a handful of good reasons, ( and most of them are the same reasons that always nag at me, but are never quite enough in and of themselves to keep me down for very long )...but what really has me decided is this profound sense of having headed in the wrong direction for way longer than I should have - that, coupled with the fact that I feel almost nothing for it anymore ( and by “it” I mean the whole of it and not just this project, but the process, the results...almost zero sense of achievement...and the thought of doing this for another year quite honestly makes my heart sink...and not because it’s hard work or that it’s too tedious or that I’m worried about writing myself into a corner or anything like that...I just don’t feel that ‘this’ is who I’m supposed to be...that this is my line in the sand or what have you.
But thanks man...I appreciate you asking

Your heart has to be in it.

I just hope for my own selfish reasons that you wind up doing some kinda art because I love the stuff you come up with. Keep us posted whatever you end up doing.

Sorry to hear that you are going to abandon this project. Personally I know what you mean in what regards being and searching what you really want to do. Eventually you'll find your path :) We both hope that you will be able to identify yourself with your project again and finish your book. Try the overseas market, who knows?
The way that you use animation and your comic was in fact one of the best things that we've seen in a while.

I will miss seeing your comic art, but as long as you keep doing something creative and you're happy, ok...I can live with it.

Post your stuff though...

Well those are effing awesome pages, I can't say that eveerytime I see pages from you I don't hope for a book, so that's a definite bummer.
In fact it's kind of infuriating, but that's your prerogative.

I don’t mean to infuriate, but I suppose if read this sort’a post from any one of you illustrators I’ve come to admire I’d be puzzled, maybe even a bit miffed myself.

I'm very very sad to read that you are changing direction, although you may think from some of my previous posts that I thought you were teading water, I've always been behind you 100%. Lotsa years behind us, but lots more ahead. If you want one more job, I'm still looking for that one great cover from you, the world beater that will make us rich or at least feel that way. You mentioned feeling accomplishment, and I share that, I'm still only about 30% into my novel and should have been done long ago. Although a nifty new cover would be a good reason to dust it off??? And some greenbacks in your pocket might grey the blues a bit. Let me know and good luck.

Well shit, man. I'm gonna miss seeing new art from you. I hope when you find a direction maybe you'll stop by your LJ and share it with us, because I'm definitely keeping you on my friends list, just in case. Besides, maybe your direction will rub off on me, cuz I am so aimless it's pitiful! Thanks again for all the good times on here, and for sharing the Drock with us. My only regrets: I'll never get to see how the story pans out, and I never got any original art from you. :)

I was curious if I could pick your incredible brain sometime soon. I've got a masquerade coming up and I'm trying ot figure out what a steampunk dickensian showgirl would look like. Somehow you sprang to mind as the sort of mad genius who might know.

*grins* I was told the utterly best response to "wanna take this outside?" I've ever heard last night.

"Oh yeah, bitch? Wanna take this outside?"
"Why? Wanna make out?"

I nearly died, I laughed so hard.

First, however, I have to be dressed as something.
